EmergeFree

About EmergeFree

EmergeFree exists to fight sexual exploitation through Education and Outreach.

Education: We believe education will shine a light on injustice, and is a key component in the prevention of sexual exploitation. We endeavor to inspire a response in our churches, schools, and communities to help break exploiter influence.

Outreach: Our heart is to build intentional friendships with those we meet in Calgary’s sex trade; whether that be on the streets or in massage parlours. Our hope is that through relationship building, those we meet would encounter the love of Jesus and in turn choose to seek exit resources.

Equipping

About Equipping

Equipping is a one day training seminar for youth and children’s workers. One of the most valuable tools that can be given to children and youth are trained, inspired and excited leaders, and this is what Equipping strives to produce.

The seminar runs from 9-4, with separate speakers and sessions specifically geared for youth and children’s workers. It boasts a wide variety of presenters and great resources while keeping the registration costs to a minimum. The seminar is held in various locations on Saturdays so as to allow the greatest amount of volunteers to attend.

Handle with Care

About Handle with Care

Handle with Care Ministries desires to imitate the mission Jesus fulfilled in Isaiah 61—to bring good news to the suffering and afflicted; to bring comfort to the broken hearted; to proclaim the release of captives, and to free prisoners. We believe more than ever that children and their families are looking for authentic faith, genuine relationships and real conversations.

Through Family Encounters seminars, and creative prayer spaces, we teach Biblical truths and foundations of the faith, lead families to hear from the one true God and assist families in finding their purpose in life. We desire to see children, youth and adults understand the finished work of the cross of Jesus Christ and walk in the fullness of His salvation.

Whether a student comes alone or with their youth group, it’s one of the best decisions they will make to develop their character and walk in relationship with Jesus.

The Inside

About The Inside

The Inside began with a simple dream to engage youth, equip leaders, and build community.

Our mission and vision is to see the skateboarding youth of Alberta impacted by the truth of the love and grace of God. With the belief that we as an organization are ambassadors for Jesus Christ within the action-sports community (2 Corinthians 5:20), we desire to join with Him in His good works here on earth. Out of this grounding vision, we have hosted countless community meals for skateboard youth, engaged with hundreds of youth through camping trips and retreats, and have seen God move powerfully within our communities.

YWOP (Young Women of Power)

About YWOP

Young Women of Power (YWOP) is a grassroots organization that builds the confidence of young women by providing and delivering workshops and conferences geared towards youth ages 12 to 18. The founder, youth speaker Alison Springer was alarmed at the high number of girls who struggle with their self-image, who prefer the company of males rather than their own gender, and the increasing number of girls who have been sexually assaulted. This motivated her to host a conference that would build up the inner confidence of teenage girls by addressing the issues of the heart.
