United Youth Outreach Ministries
Welcome to the Hub! United would not exist as an organization if it weren’t for our amazing team.
We love all of our ministries. Below you will get to know each of them a bit, and will be able to get in touch with them through their website or social media platforms.
Legacy One impacts students through the urban arts. Using artists trained in hip-hop dance, spoken word poetry, and DJ’ing, Legacy One offers a variety of performances and workshops that encourage students to find their unique voice.
Legacy One aspires to empower students to overcome struggle by finding their voice. They define voices as the element that makes students come alive and gives them hope and purpose – it is their gifts, passions, and potential. Legacy One challenges students to use their voice to influence their communities and to leave a positive legacy.
Love on Fire
Love on Fire drop-in centres exist to open doors for young people to develop a healthy sense of community, discover their course in life and make positive connections in a safe, inclusive, fun and friendly environment. Love on Fire outreaches are faith-based for the same purposes.
For almost 30 years, Street Invaders has gathered, trained and released students to share the love of Jesus Christ across the world. The summer youth missions program has a rich history of seeing lives changed forever through sharing the gospel. With four locations across the country and a variety of programs & mission options, it presents a great opportunity for youth to grow in their faith.
The philosophy of Street Invaders is ‘discipleship through evangelism’. The program has seen thousands of students make their faith real by sharing the love of Jesus through their team and on their mission. Whether a student comes alone or with their youth group, it’s one of the best decisions they will make to develop their character and walk in relationship with Jesus.
YWOP (Young Women of Power)
Young Women of Power (YWOP) is a grassroots organization that builds the confidence of young women by providing and delivering workshops and conferences geared towards youth ages 12 to 18.
The founder, youth speaker Alison Springer was alarmed at the high number of girls who struggle with their self-image, who prefer the company of males rather than their own gender, and the increasing number of girls who have been sexually assaulted. This motivated her to host a conference that would build up the inner confidence of teenage girls by addressing the issues of the heart.
Equipping is a one day training seminar for youth and children’s workers. One of the most valuable tools that can be given to children and youth are trained, inspired and excited leaders, and this is what Equipping strives to produce.
The seminar runs from 9-4, with separate speakers and sessions specifically geared for youth and children’s workers. It boasts a wide variety of presenters and great resources while keeping the registration costs to a minimum. The seminar is held in various locations on Saturdays so as to allow the greatest amount of volunteers to attend.

The Inside is currently based in Calgary and surrounding area and works with skateboarders, bikers and anyone who is immersed in the culture. However, they are not bound to this particular group of youth, and are always looking for new ways to reach youth anywhere, through any means.
The Inside works on a weekly basis with fringe youth, loving and investing in them through relationship. The goal is to see these young people find freedom in Christ and become the men and women they were created to be. The Inside invests in youth so that they in turn will live with the purpose of investing in others. The Inside pledges to serve, love, and equip youth, so that they may strive to impact the world they know, and the world they have not yet discovered.
Project Aware exists to give students an opportunity for training and practical experiences in sharing the love of Jesus with those who are subject to social problems such as poverty. Although the need to reach out to those who are struggling is a global issue, one of the goals that Project Aware strives for is awareness among youth of the needs that are present in their own backyard.
With training on how youth can share what they have with others, understanding the balance between social justice and evangelism, and practical opportunities to make a difference, Project Aware regularly sees students used as vehicles to touch many lives. The program is designed to be flexible in that it can be suited to a youth group for a weekend or a full week for multiple groups.
