Starting Strong

Legacy One is off to another great start! We took to B.C. in October for our first tour of the new school year. The tour started in Victoria where we were able to perform at Spencer Middle School, a school in which Youth for Christ (YFC) Victoria (headed up by Lindsay Hodges) holds a daily breakfast club for students. We performed on a Friday afternoon and had some amazing feedback from the teachers and principals. The YFC worker who runs the breakfast club blew us away. He shared with us that the following Monday and Tuesday mornings after the show all his kids wanted to talk about was our show. They were so inspired and moved. It led to amazing opportunities for the YFC worker to talk to the students about some deeper issues of life and Legacy One’s faith in Jesus. Truly amazing!

The tour then moved to a church in Parksville, BC.   We performed an evening show at a local youth group and saw a handful of students give their lives to Jesus for the first time. It was really exciting, because the local youth pastor at the church was able to connect with those students and get them plugged into his discipleship program. After our little stint on the island, we drove to Grand Forks, BC to perform for a second year running at a youth conference of about 400 students. It was an interactive and inspiring weekend.

November saw Legacy One involved with several local events in Edmonton and Calgary. Our fundraisers in Saskatoon and Calgary happened at the end of November. These events were amazing and encouraging. We were blown away by the support and generosity in both cities.

We continue to look forward to a fruitful year; we are currently on our way to Saskatoon for two shows followed by a few more local events in Calgary before breaking for Christmas. We know the Lord has so much more in store for us. We continue to look to Him for our strength and inspiration. We trust that He will continue to lead and direct us into more opportunities to share the good news of Jesus with students all over the world. Thank you for your prayers and support and may God bless you all!
